ABOUT US
Skull Valley Bible Church (SVBC) was originally chartered as Skull Valley Community Church in 1958. The first official organized fellowship (not a church plant, but a Sunday school) in Skull Valley was founded in 1915 by the American Sunday School Union of Arizona. The Sunday school became a chartered church in March of 1958. The first pastor retired in 1977, the second in 1994, and the third in 2014. The Church has had only 5 pastors, who served 19, 17, and 20 years respectively (with 1 interim pastor). The current pastor started in 2016.

Worship services are generally traditional. Music typically has included the use of Hymns and a few traditional praise songs, being accompanied by piano and organ. The congregation is accustomed to solid, orderly, exegetical preaching from God's Word. The pew version of Scripture used is the NIV (1984), however many of our members and attenders use their own preferred version. Theologically, as reflected by our statement of faith, the congregation is characterized by an adherence to the authority of the Bible, the sovereignty of God, and salvation through trusting Jesus Christ.
The purpose of this Church shall be:

1. The proclamation of the Gospel of Jesus Christ at home and abroad.
2. The teaching of the Word of God to its members.
3. Promoting the spiritual life of its members.
4. Sustaining worship services, the ordinances, Church discipline and doctrine.
5. Providing and promoting programs and activities intended to enrich individual and community life.
